Symptoms?? Red spot disease only damage leaves and fruits. At the early stage of leaf infection, the leaves produce orange-yellow, slightly bulging, near-circular spots with sharp edges. The lesions gradually enlarge, the color gradually deepens, and the mesophyll of the diseased part also grows thicker, resulting in many dark red small grain spots, namely the conidia of the pathogen. At the end of the fall, the diseased leaves turn red-black, with depressions on the front and raised on the back, causing the leaves to curl, and the appearance of small black spots, which are the ascostic shells buried in the sub-seats. When the disease is severe, the lesions on the leaves are densely covered and the leaf color turns yellow, causing early defoliation. The victim suffers from an orange-red round lesion, slightly raised, with unclear edges, and finally it is red-black, with many dark red spots on it. Frequently deformed fruit, inedible, easy to fall off.
The etiological pathogen is called Polystigma rubrum (Pers.) DC. It belongs to Ascomycetes subsp. Asymptomatic stage is Polystigmina. Rubra (Desm.) Sacc. belongs to semi-known fungi subphylum.

The characteristics of the disease? The germs were overwintering on the diseased leaf with the ascus capsule. At the end of the second flowering period, the ascitic capsule ruptured and a large number of ascospores were emitted, which were damaged by wind and rain. The disease can occur from the peak of leaf bloom to September, especially during the rainy season. Conidiophores matured from July to August, and ascospora shells fully matured after the leaves died from October to November. Conidia do not work in infestation.
Control methods
1. Spray protection: 1:2:200 Bordeaux mixture was sprayed at the end of plum blossom and leaves bud open.
2. To strengthen orchard management: Since this pathogen has not been re-infested, it is an effective disease prevention method to thoroughly remove diseased leaves and diseased fruits, and to concentrate burning or burying them deeply.
