When shell powder is used as a calcium source feed, attention should be paid to the use of seashells that have accumulated on the seashore for many years, because the accumulated organic matter has disappeared after a long period of accumulation, and there are fewer germs; fresh shells should be disinfected because of the corruption of proteins and the attached bacteria. , More viruses, unsterilized often cause disease in chickens. General shell powder contains about 96.4% calcium carbonate, equivalent to 38.6% calcium.
