Two measures to promote color turning
Recently, many vegetable farmers have reported that potassium fertilizer can promote the color turning of peppers. The amount of potash used by them is also quite a few. However, the color turning speed of color peppers is still very slow. How can we improve the color of peppers?
For this reason, the author conducted field inspections in vegetable farmers' sheds and found that the lack of light and the absence of straw curtains led to a lower night temperature in the shed, which was the main reason for the color turning. To promote color turning, we must start with two aspects:
First, remove the side branches on the main branch of the result. I found in the shed, the main branch of the color pepper has a large number of side branches, resulting in the fruit of the plant is changing the color of the almost see the sun, lack of light, naturally making the color change slower. The vegetable farmer should remove all the newly emerging lateral branches on the main branch, especially the inner litchi, improve the ventilation of the lower fruit and promote the coloration of the fruit.
Secondly, the straw curtain is kept warm in time to promote color change. It is understood that the daytime temperature in the shed is still relatively high, which is suitable for the normal growth of color peppers. However, since the minimum temperature in the outside world has been reduced to about 4°C, if the straw curtain insulation is not covered, the minimum temperature in the shed is between 8°C and 10°C. It is not conducive to the color turning of the pepper. Timely installation of straw curtain, the minimum night temperature in the shed is controlled at about 15 °C, can promote color turning.
