When the continuous rainy and snowy weather suddenly turns cloudy, the crop leaves in the solar greenhouse will show signs of wilting, especially the cucumbers and zucchini with the largest leaves. The reason is that the indoor temperature and ground temperature are very low during continuous cloudy days. The weak absorption capacity of root activity is sharply reduced. After sunny days, the temperature is sufficient and the temperature rises quickly. The decrease in air humidity and the amount of water transpiration in the root can not satisfy the consumption of transpiration on the ground. If you do not take timely measures to wilt leaves, you will not be able to recover or even die.
In the solar greenhouse, three measures can be taken when it encounters continuous rain or a sudden snowfall:
One is to uncover the grasshopper repeatedly. If the leaves are found to have wilted after being uncovered, they should be immediately covered with a part of the leaves until the leaves return to normal and then reopened; when the reappearance of wilting is repeated until no more wilting occurs.
The second is to spray fresh water or nutrient solution to the leaves during the removal of grasshoppers. If you use a 1% glucose solution to spray the leaves better. If there is not enough moisture in the soil, it should be poured once per day before and after noon on sunny days, but do not flood the water to avoid cooling. On the day before spraying and watering, part or most of the flowers and young fruits on the plants can be removed, which has a significant effect on promoting the recovery of the crops, and is particularly effective on cucumbers with flower tops.
The third is to use a mixture of medical vitamins B1, B6, and amide to form 800-fold solution before even the cloudy days, and to spray the plants with a medical penicillin (which can kill freezing-point bacteria) in a solution of 5000 ml. .
