national standards of People's Republic of China

Scope This standard specifies a method for determining the compressive strength of corrugated board parallel to enamel.
This standard applies to single corrugated (double sided), double corrugated and three corrugated corrugated cardboard. This standard does not apply to waxed and curtain coated corrugated cardboard.

2 Reference Standards The provisions contained in the following standards constitute provisions of this standard by reference in this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards will be revised and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the new version of the standard zui below.
GB 4 50 -89 paper and cardboard samples taken
GB 6 54 6-86 Method for determination of edge strength of corrugated board
GB 1 07 39-89 Standard atmosphere for processing and testing of pulp, paper and board samples

3 The principle rectangular corrugated cardboard test piece is placed between the two pressure plates of the compression tester, and the test piece is perpendicular to the pressure plate, and then a compression force is applied.
Until the sample is crushed. In order to prevent the edge of the sample from being damaged prematurely when the load is applied, the stressed edge of the test piece is reinforced.
Measure the large pressure of zui that each test piece can withstand.

4 instruments and materials
4.1 Pressure plate type compression tester driven by electric motor (Zhongbao Testing Equipment Co., Ltd.)
The platen must be large enough to support the test piece and guide block (4-3) of the selected size (see 7-1) without extending beyond the platen. The pressure plate should also meet the following requirements:
– parallelism is not greater than 1,1000;
- lateral turbulence does not exceed 0.05 mmo
The tester must have a tool for measuring and indicating the large load of the zui that the specimen can withstand.
4.1.1 The relative speed of the platen movement should be in a constant range (12.5 ± 2.5) mm / mina
4.1.2 If the tester is operated according to the principle of beam deflection, the deflection of the specimen at the moment of collapse shall be within the range of 2000^80% of the deflection gauge that the instrument can measure.
When the platen is in contact with the test piece, the platen should be pressurized at a rate of (110 ± 23) N/s.
4.2 The cutting device shall be capable of cutting the test piece in accordance with the requirements specified in 7.1.
The State Bureau of Technical Supervision approved the implementation of 1997-121-1
GBJT 2679. 17-1997
Test strips can be prepared using a band saw or knife cutting jig that can produce a test piece that has a cut edge that is neither broken nor straight and perpendicular to the surface of the paperboard.
4.2.1 The band saw is ring-shaped and has a sharp, endless (hopefully a circle or a round band) saw blade. Make sure the support surface of the saw blade and the test piece is 900
angle.
5毫米, The thickness of the blade is about 0. 5mm, the thickness of the blade is about 0. 5mm,
The sharpness of one side is sharpened by about 3 mm, so that the flat sides of the blades are opposite each other. The blade of this cutter must be well maintained in a straight line. Blades of this type are recommended to be used no more than 50 times.
4.2.3 Other: Other types of test piece cutters, such as manual cutters, are used with standard templates to provide test pieces that meet the requirements of 7.1.
4.3 Guide block: Two rectangular, polished, smooth metal (or wood) blocks measuring 40mm x 20mm. At least 40 mm long is used to support the specimen to keep the specimen perpendicular to the platen. The guide block was cut 2 mm from the back as shown in Figure 1 to avoid contact with the wax-impregnated area of the sample.
>40mm

4.4 Paraffin wax should be a paraffin wax with a melting point of approximately 52 °C.

5 Sampling is sampled in GB 450. A test piece without any mechanical scratches should be produced on the sample.

6 The temperature and humidity treatment samples were subjected to temperature and humidity treatment according to GB 10739.
Preparation of test strips

7 Cut the test piece with a saw or sharp blade and a standard template to ensure parallel cutting. A test piece of corrugated rectangular shape (within lOmm) perpendicular to the width direction or perpendicular to the stressed edge is cut from the sample (unless at least 10 pieces are agreed upon with the agreement of both parties). Its size is as follows:
Cardboard for A 楞 and double corrugated and three corrugated: (50.8 ± 0.8 ) mmX (50.8 ± 0.8 ) mm;
For C 楞 type: high (38.1 ± 0.8) mm x width (50.8 ± 0.8) mm;
For B 楞 type: high (32.0 士., 8) mm X width (50.8 ± 0.8) mmo
Note: A cutting device with a large width and a height of 50 mm that can be cut out can be used. The stressed edges should be parallel to each other and perpendicular to the corrugation.
The edge of the force should be cut clean and straight, and the tested test piece should be determined to be free from damage or obvious fiber loosening. It should be possible to place a sample vertically without support on the edge of the force, and then gently press it with a finger on the top edge of the edge. At this time, no light should pass through the bottom edge. The sample was inverted and examined in the same manner.
Indentation, printing and damage of the processing machinery should be avoided in the corrugated and test areas of the test piece.
7.2 Dip wax at each edge of the force (length edge) immersed in molten paraffin up to 6mm deep, and maintain its depth, visual observation until absorption
GB/T 2679.17-1997
The wax was removed after the 6 mm dip wax line. It is usually sufficient to soak 3s in the molten paraffin of (69-74) 'C. If it is removed too quickly, the temperature of the molten paraffin will be lowered. Immediately after dipping the wax, the stressed edge of the sample was blotted with a paper towel that had been preheated on a hot plate at (77-82) °C.
The sample was then subjected to temperature and humidity treatment for 2 hours until equilibrium was reached.
Note
I The following steps are also permitted to infiltrate the stressed edge of the sample with paraffin. Place the stressed edge on a paraffin-saturated pad, for example already at (77-
82) °C heated paper towel on the hot plate. The paraffin-impregnated sample reached a depth of 6 mm. Generally, this method is slower than the wax dipping method, so that the depth of the paraffin penetrating sample can be better controlled because the movement of the paraffin in the sample is fast.
2 Wax or curtain coated samples should not be edge dipped.

8 The test procedure should be carried out under the same atmospheric conditions as the temperature and humidity treated samples.
After the test compressor is separated, the force-impregnated edge of a sample is placed in the center of the lower platen. On each side of the test piece, a guide block is placed on the lower pressing plate, and the guide block faces the upper side so that the end portion thereof is in contact with the unimpregnated portion of the surface of the test piece. In this way, the sample can remain perpendicular to the surface of the platen. The zero point of the measuring instrument should be adjusted with a guide block. (Zhongbao Testing Equipment Co., Ltd.)
Pressure is applied to the test piece at a predetermined pressurization speed. When the load applied to the test piece reached 50 N and the moving speed of the platen did not change, carefully remove the guide block from the side of the sample, but did not remove the guide block from the platen.
Continue to operate the tester until the sample is crushed.
Alternatively, if the guide block is not placed on the platen position, adjust the zero point of the sample. In this case, the guide block should be removed from the pressure plate as soon as the sample is firmly supported (ie, removed from the pressure plate).
Record the pressure of Zui, expressed in Newtons (N). If the deflection has been measured from the pressure, the deflection is read, close to 0.O lmmo
Repeat the above steps to test the remaining samples.

9 Calculate the edge compressive strength in N/m and calculate according to formula (1):
R=F*103/L
In the formula:
R = vertical edge compressive strength (N / M)
F=zui big pressure (N)
L = size of the long side of the pattern (MM)

10 Precision The variation between the two tests of the same sample depends mainly on the structure of the corrugated board. The following data can be used as a reference for the precision of the method.
10.1 Between instruments in the same laboratory - repeatability of the test A certain number of corrugated cardboards are measured side by side with four different testers. The coefficient of variation of the results (four averages of the ten measurements) is generally less than 5000.
10.2 Between different laboratories - reproducibility of the test
The same kind of corrugated board was tested between 10 laboratories with a coefficient of variation less than 120o0.
