Distiller's Grain Feeding Pig Notes

Distiller's grains are by-products of the wine industry and are rich in resources for pig feed. However, distillers grains contain a variety of harmful substances such as alcohol, aldehydes, acids, etc., a large number of long-term feeding distiller's grains or sudden changes in feeding a large number of vinasses are easy to cause poisoning. In addition, there is a lack of carotene, vitamin D and calcium in distillers grains, and pigs are prone to nutritional deficiencies after long-term consumption. So pay attention to the following matters when feeding pigs with distiller's grains:

1. The lees should be fed as fresh as possible, and strive to feed in a short time. Distillers' grains are susceptible to spoilage and should be used for feeding pigs when they are fresh. If they cannot be used temporarily, they should be kept out of the air. If you need to save for a long time, distillers grains may be dried or dried and then crushed and stored for later use. Conditional can also be used as silage. Do not feed pigs with spoilage mildew.

2. Properly handle and control the dosage. Distillers should be air-dried, fermented or treated with high temperature before they are fed to pigs. Fresh distiller's grains should be treated with about 50 g of fresh slaked lime powder or baking soda powder per kilogram of distiller's grains, and mixed evenly. The amount of fresh wet distillers grain fed to pigs must not exceed 20% of the diet, and distillers dried grains should not exceed 8% of the diet. If there is a large amount of rice husk in the lees, the amount of feed should be halved.

3 reasonable with other feeds, avoid single feeding. Long-term use of distiller's grain to feed pigs must be accompanied by a certain proportion of corn, bran, oil cakes and other concentrates, supplemented with appropriate amount of bone powder, eggshell powder, trace elements, etc., but also with a sufficient amount of green feed.

4. Avoid feeding pregnant, nursing sows, and breeding pigs. Digestive feeding of pregnant sows can lead to miscarriage, production of weak piglets and stillbirths; feeding suckling sows can lead to a decline in the quality of milk, which in turn leads to piglets diarrhoea; feeding pigs can easily lead to malformation and reduce sow fertility.

5. Abnormal pigs should immediately stop distillers grains and timely treatment. Long-term overfeeding of pig distillers in pigs is prone to symptoms such as constipation and poisoning. When constipation occurs in pigs, use rhubarb 30g, magnesium sulfate 30 ~ 50g, licorice 20g, a total of research for the end, brewing with boiling water, add honey 80g, once fed to the pig, you can remove the pig's constipation; pig poisoning occurs, Show loss of appetite, accompanied by abdominal pain, defecation after the first constipation after diarrhea, the performance of stubborn gastroenteritis symptoms, severe dyspnea, limb paralysis, and accompanied by neurological symptoms, the formation of dermatitis and rash throughout the body, row of red urine. Once poisoning is found, stop distillers immediately and take timely treatment. Oral administration of 1% sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) in water or soymilk 1500 to 2000 ml and 5% to 8% baking soda; intravenous injection of 5% glucose 500 to 800 ml, 8% sodium and 5 to 8 ml , Vitamin C5 ~ 8mg; According to the pig per kilogram of body weight medication 1 ~ 2ml, intramuscular injection of chlorpromazine to relieve symptoms of poisoning.
