So, at what temperature does the turtle grow fastest? Adult turtles and juvenile turtles were reared at 23°C, 26°C, 29°C, 32°C, and 35°C for 30 days. The results showed that adult turtles (male) had significant weight gain at 23°C~26°C. The fastest growth occurred at 23°C, followed by 26°C and worst at 35°C. Adult turtles (female) had significant weight gain at 23°C to 29°C, and grew fastest at 23°C, followed by 29°C and worst at 35°C. At the same temperature of 23 °C and the same bait, females grow 34.2% faster than males. Hatchlings grow fastest at 26°C, followed by 29°C, and worst at 35°C.
During the turtle production process, according to the above experimental results, the author suggests that everyone should adjust the water temperature to the fastest temperature of the turtle's growth and development in order to obtain the ideal economic benefits of turtle breeding.
