Morphological characteristics
Lipu Geese have a larger body and longer trunks. The sarcoma of the base of the geese is well-developed. The neck is slender and bowed and has strong gregariousness. Geese are slightly smaller in size, with sagging abdomen, brown, abdomen white, and black, sarcoma with a smooth, greyish black appearance. Feet and reddish orange, iridescent blue-gray. The white goose is full of white, orange and yellow, and iridescent blue-gray.
Origin and distribution
Xupu Goose Center is located in Xinping, Ma Tianping, Shuidong and other places near Zhangpu County in Hunan Province. The tributaries of Lishui, which are located in the tributary of Lishui River, are the entire county of Zhangpu County and Huaihua County.
Production performance
One adult male geese weighs between 6.0 kg and 6.5 kg, and females weigh between 5 kg and 6 kg. 60-day-old body weight up to 3 kg to 3.5 kg, the whole net slaughter rate of 80%. Xupu Goose has a good fat liver. After 21 days of filling, the liver weight increased by more than 500 grams, and the heaviest weight was 1330.5 grams. The liver-to-liver ratio was 1:28.
Zhangpu geese are sexually mature at 180 days of age, spawned at the end of autumn and early spring, spawned about 30 eggs throughout the year, and had an average egg weight of 212.5 grams. Most were white, and a few were light blue. Xupu Goose has a strong nesting nature. Male and female geese breeding ratio of 1:3 to 1:5 was appropriate, the fertilization rate was 97.4%, and the hatching rate was 93.5%.
