Introduce ammoniated grass gradually over 7–10 days. Cattle typically consume about 2% of their body weight daily, divided into three meals. During the grazing season, let them graze during the day, and feed silage grass in winter and spring. 3. Use a supplemental feed mix: A recommended formula includes 60% corn, 37% hemp or cottonseed meal, 2% fishmeal, and 1% salt. Soybean meal can be used instead of cake to reduce costs. Feed this mixture at 1% of the animal’s body weight, twice a day. 4. Incorporate feeding additives: "Breed scientifically, produce meat through technology" is key to boosting the beef industry and improving profitability. Weight-gain agents are widely used, increasing both beef yield and feed efficiency. Implant growth hormones in calves or yaks at any time, as they show the best results. Do not implant cows. For long-term fattening, re-implant every 100 days for optimal performance. 5. Implement proper feeding management: During the transition period of feeding ammoniated forage, administer albendazole at 30 mg per kg of body weight after feeding. During the fattening phase, allow grazing for 1–2 months, followed by at least one month of confined feeding to build up fat. Using high-concentrate diets for 60–90 days will help achieve a weight of 400 kg, which can generate around 300 yuan. Mix wet feed for one hour before combining it evenly with grass. Ensure clean water is available twice daily. Keep cowsheds dry, clean, and well-ventilated to maintain hygiene and prevent disease.
