Tomato hormone poisoning how to treat?

Tomato hormonal intoxication typically presents with upward curling and a stiff texture in the leaves. In greenhouse conditions, weaker plants are more prone to this issue, with curled leaves often appearing alongside an increased number of flowers. The more flowers present, the more severe the leaf curling tends to be. The earlier tomatoes are planted and the higher the temperature, the greater the risk of hormonal poisoning. To prevent leggy growth, growers often apply chlormequat, auxin, or dwarfing agents during the seedling stage. Although these substances may not show immediate effects, they can accumulate in the plant. Once symptoms appear, they tend to manifest quickly and visibly. To manage early-stage hormonal poisoning, it's recommended to spray a solution of 5ml of Kangfengsu mixed with 12.5kg of water. Repeat this application every four days, or use Life One according to the manufacturer’s instructions. For later stages, a mixture of 5–7ml of 2,4-D in 12.5kg of water can be sprayed every 5–6 days, with 3–4 applications usually needed for effective control. Monitoring the plants closely and acting quickly is essential to minimize damage and ensure healthy growth. Growers should also consider adjusting environmental factors, such as reducing temperature and improving ventilation, to support recovery and prevent future occurrences.
