Soybean seedling deficiency reseeding

In soybean farming, it's quite common for seedlings to die or for rows to become broken due to factors like soil preparation, planting methods, weather conditions, and seed quality. This issue is especially severe in low-lying areas and wastelands. As a result, replanting using an efficient and straightforward method becomes essential to ensure a successful harvest. The best time for replanting is typically between June 6th and June 10th—after the shovel has been used across the field but before the hoe is spread out. Replanting during this period allows for about 90 days of growing time, ideally from mid-June to early September. When choosing soybean varieties for replanting, very early maturing types are usually preferred. Examples include Beifeng 1 (96 days), Neidou 4 (90 days), Heihe 14 (90 days), Beijiang 1 (85–90 days), and Dongnong 41 (85 days). These varieties are well-suited for short growing seasons and can help maximize yield even under challenging conditions. The sowing method involves using a duckbill fertilizer tool to plant 5–7 seeds per hole, making the process quick and easy for one person to handle. The spacing should be 20 cm between holes, with 60 cm between ridges. On average, this results in about 5,500 plants per mu (approximately 830 plants per acre). The recommended seeding rate is around 90 kg per hectare. It’s important to note that this technique is only suitable for regular production fields and should not be used on seed fields, as it may affect the quality and purity of the seeds. Farmers should also monitor weather conditions and soil moisture closely to ensure the success of the replanting operation.
