New filming machine

Film mulching has become a common practice in the cultivation of various crops, but the environmental impact caused by plastic films has increasingly restricted its long-term use. After nearly two years of research and over 100 field trials, the technical team from the 552 Farm in the Heilongjiang Reclamation Area successfully developed the "OM-1" film removal machine. This innovative device is specifically designed for the seedling stage, with the optimal working period taking place between late June and early July. The timing was carefully selected because, after mid-July, the region enters a high-temperature and rainy season. At this point, the mulch film remains in the field, which can reduce soil water permeability. By removing the film during this period, when it is still relatively strong and not fully aged, the mechanical breakage rate is significantly reduced, making the process more efficient and environmentally friendly. The OM-1 machine offers a reliable film-breaking function, achieving a 100% net rate and zero injury rate. It boasts high production efficiency, low operating costs, and an impressive hourly output of 5,800 square meters—16 times faster than manual labor. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to operate, and it can be easily attached to small tractors ranging from 12 to 30 horsepower. The machine is highly adaptable, allowing users to adjust the width of the film as needed. Additionally, it can perform multiple tasks simultaneously, such as tilling, ridge forming, and soil doubling, making it a versatile tool for modern farming. With its advanced design and practical benefits, the OM-1 has great potential for widespread adoption in agricultural practices.
