Belgium launches new blood vessel reconstruction and delivery system

Belgium has introduced an innovative blood vessel reconstruction and delivery system. According to recent reports, Belis Cordis Neurovascular Company has developed a revascularization device (VRD) along with a delivery system that enables surgeons to use vascular stents for treating intracranial aneurysms more effectively. The VRD is designed to be pre-assembled into the delivery system, which includes guiding and conveying wires, making the entire setup simple and efficient. The device features three radiopaque markers, allowing for easy placement and visualization during the procedure. This design gives doctors the flexibility to reposition the device if necessary. Additionally, the system includes a soft, hermetically sealed rubber container that can conform to the shape of the aneurysm neck. It provides strong support for coils placed inside the aneurysm, enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment. This technology represents a significant advancement in neurovascular care, offering a more precise and reliable solution for aneurysm management. This development highlights Belgium's growing role in medical innovation, particularly in the field of neurovascular devices. As the industry continues to evolve, such breakthroughs are expected to improve patient outcomes and expand treatment options globally. Source: Shanghai Medical Device Industry Association Network
