Xie Liangchang, an engineer at the Key Laboratory of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, told reporters that the soil in our province is divided into 15 types, ie, red soil and red soil, and the soil types of different types are different. However, the findings of agricultural experts are not optimistic. During the science and technology activity month, the Provincial Agricultural Science and Technology Service “110†Command Center organized experts in agricultural science and technology in our province to go deep into the fields and pass on soil testing and fertilization techniques to farmers. It was found that farmers in our province had insufficient knowledge of agricultural science and technology in agricultural production. As affected by traditional concepts, when farmers fertilize, regardless of soil conditions, fertilization based on experience often leads to reduced agricultural production, destroyed soil structure, and even caused adverse environmental pollution.
Xie Liangshang believes that there are five misunderstandings in the province's agricultural fertilization: First, there is a serious shortage of nutrient inputs. Farmers adopt extensive management of crops in order to save costs and have little or no fertilization. According to the survey, the province fertilizes 241 kilograms per hectare of arable land, which is much lower than the national average. Second, nitrogen and potassium nutrients are not balanced. Hainan is located in the tropics, soil potassium is easily lost with rainwater, but in the commercial fertilizers sold in our province, the proportion of nitrogen and potassium is obviously low, and it is not suitable for the nutrient requirements of tropical soils; the third is unbalanced fertilization. Due to the continuous planting of winter vegetables in the province, the accumulated phosphorus in the soil of agricultural land in our province is high, but the farmers still blindly added phosphorus fertilizer, leading to serious imbalance in the soil nutrient structure. The fourth is superstitious ocean fat. Farmers in our province generally use high-intensity imported compound fertilizers. At present, the province consumes 600,000 tons of chemical fertilizer every year, and the imported compound fertilizer is about 1/3. Xie Liangshang reminded farmers that the NPK content of imported fertilizers was 15%, which was inconsistent with the characteristics of soil nutrients in our province. At the same time, there was a problem of unreasonable nutrient ratios in tropical fruit such as eggplant, banana and other fruits. The fifth is excessive fertilization. Such as rubber and winter vegetables, excessive application of chemical fertilizers, resulting in reduced utilization of chemical fertilizers.
In view of the misunderstandings in the province's agricultural fertilization, agricultural experts recommend that: large-scale training of agricultural science and technology workers in cities and counties to improve their level of agricultural science and technology services; promote the application of soil testing and fertilizer technology across the province, according to different farmland fertility Conditions, different crops need fertilizer characteristics and agricultural production requirements, the organic fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, trace elements and other appropriate amount of fertilizer, balanced application, improve nutrient utilization of fertilizers, and promote the province's agricultural high yield, high quality and efficient development.
